Starbucks Chases the Green with AG1 Partnership

plus... Posty Partners with Poppi and I am a year off cigs

Vigor

When you think of Starbucks you might think of those iconic green aprons. Or maybe all the green their CEO and board of directors line their pockets with each fiscal quarter. Or maybe you just get your latte and put in your Airpods and stare into your screen for 3 hours without thinking too hard about anything. That sounds kind of nice, doesn’t it?

But for me, I can’t help but think about the big picture when it comes to these omnipresent global brands. Follow the money and we’ll find the answers!

The reason I’m talking about Starbucks today, is because some mysterious new juice beverages have made their way onto Starbucks menus. The coffee giant has partnered up with AG1 to bring some new drinks to their cafes in attempt to coax a different, non-coffee drinking customer base through their doors (or drive-thru lines).

We’re rapidly approaching the holiday season, so even if you don’t fancy a PSL or a Peppermint mocha, you can get an AG1 Coconut Milk Blend and still enjoy the warm embrace of Mariah Carey’s “All I Want for Christmas Is You” in a Starbucks dining room.

Drought

I love sweet treats. I can’t turn down a chocolate chip cookie. That wasn’t the case a few years ago but then I stopped drinking alcohol and my body… needed. the. sugar.

I get really grossed out when I see these seasonal drinks at large national chains cough Dunkin’ Donuts cough

I know health isn’t important to someone consuming a beverage that has 180g of sugar but why are we willing to support a business that would serve a drink like that? This is the free market so I’m not saying that they don’t have the right to serve that drink but the more we continue to support them, the more likely they are to keep making those drinks that are destroying an entire generation of people.

Indulgence

Post Malone seems to appreciate the grey areas in life. He has a music style that ebbs and flows between hip hop, rock, and country. His business portfolio seems to be equally varied, incuding Raising Canes Chicken, a lucrative Bud Light sponsorship, and a recent partnership with Poppi Prebiotic Soda.

Post seems to have undergone a recent lifestyle change, where he looks to be in the best physical shape he has been in since entering the public sphere. Cigs and beer still appear to be on the table, so is Poppi the secret to his transformation after quitting traditional soda?

He has joined Poppi as a partner investor, and to celebrate, they’ve launched the Post Malone Wild Berry Poppi exclusively in Kroger.

"I'm excited to partner with Allison, Stephen and the entire Poppi team to bring the future of soda to everyone :)"

Abundance

No more alcohol. No more cigs. I’ll talk more about both in the future but this week I am celebrating a full year without a drag from a freshly opened Parliament cigarette.

I know it’s gross. I’m not claiming that smoking was great but it’s something I did for 20 years of my life and I’m only 37. I had tried to quit multiple times throughout my life but I never really committed mentally.

As any former smoker would tell you, the cravings never really go away, they get duller and farther apart, which makes it easier and easier.

So cheers to me for that and cheers to you if there is anything you’ve conquered in your life.
