THIRST is Evolving!

I’ve learned a new principle this week; “Patient Endurance” This has become the driving force for life. In my work, in my home, in my extended family relationships. I have to patiently endure through almost everything so I might as well be prepared for it.

This newsletter has spawned a handful of other channels dedicated to the same mission that we set out to achieve here.

I am committing myself to the production and execution of a DAILY Thirst.News publication across multiple platforms.

It will primarily live on Instagram, YouTube, and in Podcast form and this newsletter will remain weekly at a minimum.

I will continue showcasing many stories from the Food, Beverage, Hospitality and CPG industries and offer my commentary.

There are so many stories across these industries that don’t generally share the same weight from traditional media and even legacy F&B media.

It’s silly that the Algorithm rules my ambitions but it is the truth and I am doing my best to play the game.

Thirst(.)News is for the Baristas, the Bartenders, the Dishwashers, the Bar Backs, the FOH and the BOH and the Founders building the next generation of products that we will use in our cafes and our restaurants.

My favorite Story this week

In keeping with the spirit, I do have a favorite story this week. Although, it’s not a happy story, it’s a story of intrigue and potential fraud and without accusing anyone of wrong doing, there is a potential scandal brewing over at Better Brand.

There really isn’t any formal journalistic reporting being done outside of some exceptional solo journalists that primarily live on X or within their newsletter sphere.

According to reports, the Better Brand had shut their website down, disabled comments on IG posts asking for order status reports from orders that are 2-3 months old.

The company responded with reports of potential “hostile takeovers” “money and inventory being stolen” “European expansions” and many more bizarre responses.

This is a developing story and one that I have my eye on.
